What is Yinzer Press?

Yinzer Press publishes quality books and e-books by selected authors. We currently specialize in personal non-fiction (primarily memoirs) and fiction (primarily sci-fi). Our mission is to lift up the voices of women, nonbinary folks, and other under-represented writers.

What’s a Yinzer?

Great question! The short answer: a Pittsburgher - that’s Pittsburgh with a H on the end, the one in Pennsylvania USA. The nickname “yinzer” comes from the regional word “yinz”, which is Pittsburghese for "you ones" — similar to "you all", "y'all", or "youse" in other regions.

Yinzers keep it real and show grit and integrity in their daily lives. Yinzer Press is dedicated to supporting authors who exemplify these traits in their writing and who focus on real, practical guidance and insights. Its founder is a proud yinzer.
